He's still better than Ralph Sampson and a lot of the players taken in front of him.

I'm really not seeing a single justification for how you can say Sampson > Jefferson, but I'm open to hearing it if you care to elaborate.

im surprised that walton went as early as he did but sampson fell as far as he did. they both have very short careers with really high peaks but sampson at least gives you 3 full seasons. whereas walton was missing 30+ games every year.

sampson is definitly better than jefferson but jefferson is more valuable in this unless ur targeting early championships

i woulda taken sampson but i dont think my team is good enough to win it right away.
they probably arent good enough to ever win one but my target was the later years to win.

What are you judging their defense on?

Big al just isn't that good. If you want a better version of him is still available, still pretty young and doesn't have serious knee issues. Big al just isn't that good at anything.

I'll take Shareef Abdur-Rahim. 19 career per, 18.7 ppg, 7.8 rpg. Seems like too much value to pass on in the last round.

He's average efficiency on a high usage with a very low TO rate, is a solid rebounder and has developed a decent ability to block shots.

Cardsman's final pick, round 12, pick 278

Spoiler:
.411 3pt FG%, 15th all time, led league with .441 in 1991-1992
.572 TS% on 20% usage
.858 FT%, 33rd all time.
114.4 Ortg all time
Career line 10.5 ppg/3.3apg/1.9rpg (per 36=16.4/5.2/3)
20K min in 12 useful seasons

I've got players of all sorts now--slashers, goons, studs, scorers, steady point guards, defensive mined guards, but I don't have a little guard capable of such instant offense off the bench. I still need a floor stretcher, even with a stable of capable 3 point shooters. With most of my options being taken in the previous couple of rounds, I select

Spoiler:

Dana Barros, G

On this team, he can come in with one of my big guards and play spot up all night long. Only took 8 shots a game, but if you look at his per 36 numbers you can see that he doesn't require a lot of minutes to get hot and fill it up. Teams will have to respect his range, giving any of my bigs room to work and room for my slashers to slash. I do give up defense and size, but I have that covered in abundance through the rest of my lineup. I feel this gives me the final piece of a well rounded puzzle.

Team Cardsman

KAJ C
Chauncey Billups PG
Derek Harper PG/SG
Adrian Dantley SG/SF
Horace Grant PF

Bench

Chris Bosh PF
Dale Davis PF/C
Hot Rod Williams PF/C
Jose Calderon PG
Dan Majerle SF/SG
PJ Brown PF/C
Dana Barros G
