Just got online but fairly busy morning. I sent a PM with Riverman letting him know my probable first choice and that if I don't hear from him by about noon ET I will go with that and get it put together.

exec sniped one of the picks on our short list after his teammate had already made a choice but I'm not sure we would have gone with boiling oats and syf so badly mangled it that exec probably deserves a do-over.

Holy crap is that Oat Running thread gold. Just went through it for the first time. BoilingOatRunner is the by a wide margin the best gimmick I've seen. Love how he posts in a bunch of other threads talking about running boiling oats. Solid comedy there.

OK, after much conferring, link sharing, and discussion, DREAM TEAM has decided to go with one of the iconic threads in site history.

Upon registering most posters will ease in gently as one would ease into a pool, trying to avoid making waves and getting themselves acclimated before getting in over their head.

There was one fella though - he wasn't shy. He wanted the forum to know what he was all about from the very start, so they could appreciate what he brought to the table and show proper respect:

solid pick. i wonder if 'sup bro' is still the go to 'are you a 2p2er?' at poker tables. although i do have to give some demerits to threads that don't really get better than the OP.

Only downside is that you don't get sup bro's complete works with that thread, but it's def legendary.

What a great thread and pick. Before sup bro it used to be "does the brown trout sleep in the closet" to identify 2+2ers, but that's real old school. I def threw out some supbros with varying success at live poker over the years.

Like the use of screenshots in the write up too to pull from the archives. Dream Team delivers.

sup bro gimmick account/OP is of course 24k gold but as Triumph pointed out the thread really just has one big highlight, the OP. Mildly disappointing pick from the DREAM TEAM.

I never could remember exactly how that line went, so I'd always confuse people with questions about random types of fish in urban environments.

It's amazing that people took those posts seriously.

Also funny to remember that supbro/browntrout weren't just things you used in live poker situations. Running into a 2+2er at a random 109 SNG was such a rare event that you'd want to confirm it there too.

Man, I used to unregister from party 55s/109s if I merely RECOGNIZED one other name at the table. Playing with 1 reg out of 9 people was a fate worse than death.

Sure, but not many threads spawned a meme that was used at poker tables everywhere and lasted for years without getting old. Not sure how to quantify that but it should be worth something.

Unfortunately I think this thread may be the beginning of the end for tuq. Signs of his demise already showing. Plus **** using photobucket, opens the pics in safari on the app.
