fwiw I pushed to draft it and was given carte blanche to do so...but when I read back through it a lot of the threads which were started at the other site had been deleted, which made the quality of pick suffer substantially.

A lot of drama bombs went undrafted that I found interesting. Some in nvg and HSNL and not sure if the group of poker players/2p2ers who went to vegas and had a discussion as to who should front the bill for the bottle service for the night. Also felt the Black friday thread should have been drafted because that pretty much was the peak of traffic for this site, nvg was flogged that day and this site had to have over 10k people reading that single thread. I guess drama/forum bombs aren't that spectacular but I lold at a lot of them over the years.

This topic just showed the progression of poker and the site from 2003 and onwards. It is fun now looking back and seeing these young internet up and comers come up and post on the site and how they ve matured. also shows the progrssion of the internet since pre 06 we didnt have access to reddit or 4chan or anything of that sort which made a lot of those threads so LOL worthy with the levels and all. I have always felt the peak of this forum was 2006-2008(also bb4l, NVG and bbv were booming) during the poker boom which attracted to much attention and posters to the forum. this site, 2p2, has so much rich history that even this thread couldn't all grasp. you could make a web series about the history of 2p2 and its posters/threads. And for those of you who started posting here at a younger age could go back through your history and literally see yourself mature/grow before your eyes

A lot of dramabombs are really kinda crappy to read after the fact. The ultimate black friday thread has got to be just terrrrrrible to reread, even if it did generate a ton of traffic. That's exactly why it's terrible.

You missed out some cliffs.
After his first coach gave up, I took him on and staked and coached him. He wasn't the easiest to work with but we got there eventually.
He became (relatively) sucessful, a winning player at least. The following is an extract from the last pm I got from him in September 2010.
