According to Sky Sports, Haas has parted ways with its Russian driver Nikita Mazepin.

Replacement driver is apparently Pietro Fittipaldi.

Since Uralkali is out as a sponsor it's not surprising. The more important question is how is Haas going to replace the money from Uralkali.

Pretty extreme from Haas to organise an invasion of the Ukraine to get out of the contract

Hard to be a money driver if those checks start bouncing

Welcome back kmag

Certainly an improvement over Mazepin

It will make the Haas duel also quiet interesting.

I'm doing https://fantasy.formula1.com/ with some friends but have no idea what I'm doing.

Team right now after some button clicking is: Russell, Leclerc, Sainz, Ocon, Alonso...with Alpine constructor. YOLO

In anticipation of the new Drive to Survive, I watched the last two episodes again of last season.
Man on Fire remains one of the greatest single episodes of any TV show ever.

Have you seen Duel, by Sky Sports?

(Cannot embed them)

You will LOL at the subjectivity. Early in the docu they start aiming at Masi and telling about Verstappen's aggressiveness and it ends in total indignation of the injustice. I love it. They don't show anything of the last lap or the celebrations or anything.

Eat **** mother****ers. Suck it bitches. Lewis lost nanananananaaaaaa loooooosers

This one is pretty good and objective:

Finished it too. It was OK. No idea why they dedicated an episode to Mazepin, when there's clearly more interesting characters.

It must hurt them that Max and his team refuse to speak with them. Maybe they didn't went too deep into Abu Dhabi to not lose Lewis comments and have some hope of getting Max favors for the next years.

Max and his team? Horner’s the main character!

Also, Horner comes across as a total ****. No wonder Max doesn’t want to talk with them because everyone who watches F1 knows what a total tool he is and he wouldn’t want the general public to know it

The Maz episode was some amazing revisionist history.

Like the way they edited the Russian GP made it seem like Mazepin had a great race, unlapped himself late (well he did but not to get back on the lead lap), but in reality he finished 18th, 2 laps down, only ahead of 2 cars that retired earlier.

Anyway, kind of a pointless episode, as Haas was so bad, there really isn't much to say. And it seems like Nikita basically only talked to his dad and didn't care about the team. Glad Uralkali is gone, good riddance.

Most likely Dad Mazepin paid Netflix some money to get an episode about his son.

Schumacher would have made a much more interesting episode. He made it out of Q1 at least once.

Lewis Hamilton Quotes:

Quote:
“It is too early to have those kind of thoughts about the world championship, but at the moment I don’t think we will be competing for wins."

“We’re not the quickest at the moment."

"Ferrari look to be the quickest and perhaps Red Bull and then maybe us or McLaren - but we’re currently not at the top."

“We have far bigger challenges this time and they’re not one-week turnarounds, they’ll take a little bit longer, but from what I’m told, we have a significant amount of pace to find.”
Would love to see this happen, but knowing Merc, somehow miracles of all miracles will happen and Merc will qualify in the top 4 this Saturday.

Current odds

Max Verstappen +200
Lewis Hamilton +225
Charles Leclerc +550
Carlos Sainz +750
George Russell +1000
Sergio Perez +2000
Lando Norris +2800
Daniel Ricciardo +5000

If those comments are accurate, then it will be one hell of an amazing season. Also, don't see how Russell would be better than Pérez with the 1st year growing pains and all. Pérez > Russell matchup could be juicy.
