Also, I don't personally know the family but I've lived close to them my whole life and have good friends that know them and from anything I've ever heard is that DJ and Aaron are good people... (minus Aaron's minor, but many run-ins with the law for pot)

See I couldn't recall how good Carruth was, not sure whether or not to include him.

And rape is a first tier crime no doubt, but Rape isnt a top tier HoF player. Those listed absolutely are in both crime and talent.

If you made a top 5 list for anything NFL related before yesterday he wouldn't be on it. Unless it were really specific, eg "top 5 NFL players named Hernandez" or "top 5 tight ends who play in NE." Can't get him into top 5 Hispanic NFL players either.

Heard on radio that victims family said the victim dated the sister of hernandez's girlfriend. Not that that means anything but it does show hernandez knew the guy.
