?

there does seem to be a smidgen of betting interest from what I've heard/seen. probably will fizzle out like the XFL.

credit to san antonio fans tho, looks like a few thousand fans showed up for this game on CBS. more than I would have expected.

Most agreeing on Twitter is was better than expected. Lots of chatter and talk all over the net. I would say they exceeded even their own expectations. Is it Sunday yet? How soon to AAF red zone ? Announcers are better than MNF .

I'm glad for the players' sake that Orlando won; they won't have to worry about the coach "retiring"... for now.

I can find highlights and scores pretty quickly but they aren’t making it easy to find box scores

Missed yesterday's games but made sure to set the next round to record to get a fix of a football-like substance.

BW, it's not bad. I was expecting The Replacements, but it was like real football.

I'll be at the Fleet home opener next Sunday. Hopefully they find a QB between now and then.

What’s with the only five players can blitz rule? Or whatever it is. Is it five? Yet the highlight of this league so far is that qb getting blindsided with his helmet flying off.

The Birmingham Iron legit jacked the Miami Sharks jerseys from Any Given Sunday

Little thrown off by the no blitzing rule but from what I've seen it looks good.

I'll have to watch a full broadcast next time they're on.

Would love to see AAF give the NFL a run for their money or even surpass them.

Except they are working together. Tonight's AAF game (SLC @ Zona) is being broadcast live on NFL Network.

Sadly a knee high boots intro for this Sunday Night Football seems unlikely.

NFL would be smart to adopt a minor league. You can already tell some of these linebackers are gonna get a few phone calls, blowing up plays left and right. There is definitely talent out there.

Can't say enough about the discussion being shown during challenges being awesome although one challenge was bungled terribly on a ball that hit the ground on a completion.

Asiata just scored a 1 yd td. Some things never change. Love forced 2 pt conversions too.

What's the logic behind the no blitzing rule? Just to give the QB more time to let routes open up?
AAF Thread Quote

Almost certainly to help the offense and have higher scoring games. Secondarily, possibly to protect QB's.

You don't realize just how insane the amount of time is that kickoffs eat up until there are no kickoffs. The lack of Ad -----> Kickoff -----> Ad alone probably shaves 20 minutes off the broadcast. Orlando game went around 2.5 hours.

Does anyone know what the line is for THE HACK to win MVP in this thing?

It really is amazing how much more watchable AAF games are compared to the NFL. Hope this minor league succeeds.
