so much fail in ur post, so ur counterarguments are that its a worse league and lol timeframe.

well actually its cl only, so exactly the same circumstances for every player (and like i already mentioned, messi and ronaldo are the guys with the advantages there, not ribery) and its over the last 4 years(at least on riberys part).

i have my stats of officials site, u can check anytime. i just thought the concept of "scorepoints" is standard, cause they even use them in newspapers.

and i still dont get why u hate on this system, i think its one of the most logical ways to judge a player, at least more significant than goals only.

Hardly. He's the best player in the world at scorepoints!

Out of curiosity, how many score points would Xavi/Iniesta/Zlatan/Villa get and if possible please add them to the others in the table

Its a very comparable league. Its a tiny sample size and fairly abritrary statistics. Who cares if its the same for every player thats entirely irrelevant. Lets sort by hair length over a one month period. I know its a small sample size but its the same for everyone!

How many scorepoints have Xavi and Iniesta got? Is Andy Carrol the best player in the Premier League? Is Ruud Van Nistelrooy the best striker in CL history?

im like repeating everything 5 times cause everytime someone skims in and totally misreads everything i say which makes it some ********, even though im talking totally sense here.

the concept is very common here, even newspapers magazines etc use it.

but my statistics about it are from official sites.
srs question, dont u keep track of assists in england or whereever u guys come from?

In scorepoints they are!

Yes we do keep track of top scorer, assists.

Raz has just pointed out the Carroll is the best striker in the league, I used the example of Brunt having the most assists in the league earlier as well.

There is a difference though we don't just go and tally them together and say they are the best in the league.

Carroll = best player in the league.
Brunt = 2nd
Berbatov = 3rd

We are not levelling.

Yes we keep track of assists, we don't have a term that combines goals and assists thats completely arbitrary. We certainly don't use it to decide who the best player is. Otherwise Andy Carroll would be the best player in the Premier League. Have you heard of him?

if everyone played the same teams in the CL, CL scorepoints would carry a lot more weight for me, even though I agree with raz that its sort of arbitrary.

u can search urself in the web, but i do u the favor.
villa is btw already in the list.

ribery 79
messi 89
drogba 127
c.ronaldo 143
robben 153
villa 153
sneijder 165
Ibra 173
ronney 175
nani 216
iniesta 273
forlan 302
Xavi 361

when ur point is that these guys, while very very strong are only bad ranked in this list, there was a reason i didnt include players playing that defensiv positions, cause they arent comparable, robben/ribery/ronaldo on the other hand are definitly very comparable

i never talked about this years 6 games of cl. im talking every single game of cl made by the players. im pretty sure when i search for berbatov overall statistics @ premier league he wont be top 3.

Statistic says that I watched 81 games between 13th July (first game I watched after the World Cup) and 9th October, I got bored of it then and stopped writing down the games.

You really need to link me to this site.

Or just go ahead if you've got time and give me a list of players who are better than Xavi and Iniesta!

Do you not honestly see how flawed this system is in judging how good a player is?

lol, another guy trying to misinterprating me totally missing the point of my arguments.
i never said ribery was the best player ever.
i said he has the best stats, which should be included in the decision of how good he is.

i dont know if nistelroy has the best goalscoring quote ever @ the cl, but when he has, he should be considered to be one of the best 30 strikers. purely based on his results.

yea just ignore everything i said, and try to make ur point. prolly casillas wont look good at this list as well. thats why i only included similar players.

and once again, i never said that a guy with better stats are indeed better than someone with worse, but u just cant ignore those stats.

How should it though? These stats don't tell you what they've done or how they've actually done in the game. Or even who they've played against.

I mean they make 3nd/4rd best players in the world look shite.

Ah so you are going back so far as to be Irrelevant. I for one am shocked you aren't arguing that Ronaldinho should be number 2 behind Messi.

He doesn't have the best stats. He has the highest scorepoints per minute in CL games only, stretching back far enough as to be irrelevant for a very small sample size. Having included that in the considerations he still doesn't get in the top 30 sorry guy.

ur arguments here are fail once again.
ribery is 27 not 37, so in perfect football age.
sample size including league games, is with over 130 or so games pretty decend in my books.
when talking about current perfomance, this season is above average for ribery, so thats not a counterargument as well.

dont know where ronaldinho comes from, he would be a 123 in the list, and is way over his peak times, which is definitly not the case for ribery.

If my argument is fail why have you not addressed it? All of this stuff is rambling about other irrelevant things.

You are using old, irrelevant, entirely arbitrary stats.

He's in perfect football age, has decent? stats (thought they were the best?) and this is an above average season for him so far is a summary of your post? Seriously, I'm disappointed. So weak. No mention of scorepoints even.
