If someone like Ronaldo or Messi were injured this year, they would still be top 10-20 players. Guys who were in the teens/cusp of top 20 don't deserve the benefit of the doubt, at least for me. I look at someone like Torres in particular, and Bjorn still has him fairly high. I don't really know if he deserves that place anymore based on his fitness issues and the off and on form we've seen. I don't consider my POV an anti-ribery/robben one. I actually find it interesting he still has Cesc at 5, mostly because of his fitness this season.
Point being, stop reading too much into one man's rankings. If you think 38 is too harsh for Ribery, fine. But when you make claims that he is top 8 at best, you will find your arguments falling on deaf ears because that is pretty damn homerific. You realize who you are putting behind him when you say something like that? You can't seriously believe Ribery is better than those players, even at his best.
