First of many out of form players who despite having poor seasons still have too much quality for me to drop them below players on the list who have only this season started showing their ability.
Still the only player who can rival what Messi can do with the ball and though not at the same level any more not the least without the ball it still is enough for him to earn a very high ranking.

Other than his appearance there isn't necessarily anything remarkable about Hamsik's play at first, second or third glance but he is an extremely effective player I think providing value constantly both with and without the ball. Going forward or defending.
Great teamwork. Range of passing, fantastic movement without the ball, defending and scoring ability.
