there are thousands of calls, of pages of transcripts that paint what can only be described as a conspiracy to influence the appointment and decision-making of football referees. Out of those thousands of calls and pages, it is Moggi and those at Juventus at the front and centre of it.

probably has to be Bastian or Ozil, outside chance to Gomez, Muller, Lahm, etc. if it were a couple years ago, maybe Ballack, lol.

i'm guessing he's not going to make the top-30 here, so how do people rate Lahm overall? seems like his star peaked a couple years ago maybe, people don't talk about him as much. now 27, maybe headed toward the downside of his career. is/was he always overrated?

In 2009/10 he was moved away from his usual attacking midfielder/winger roles and down into central midfield by Van Gaal, and the rest as they, for Germany as well as Bayern is now history.

His great teamwork and range of passing was exactly what both teams needed and they benefited immensely.

Lahm = 26 on my list.

I dunno, off the top of my head I think he's 60-80ish if I had to rank

he's one of the best FBs but there's a large gap between Dani/Maicon to the rest

Being one of the best RBs in the world and being one of the best LBs in the world increases his value a ton. I had him just behind Alves at 21 and 22.

There is no doubt Moggi tried everything everyday to gain edges and that a lot of it was morally corrupt.

What effect it actually had on what happened on the pitch is very unclear though.

There are still trials taking place over what really happened. Personally I've kinda stopped paying attention to it all, until something finally does.

And then on the other side of the moral corruptness there are the original verdicts and all the different interests in play. Right from Inter, the hysteric Italian football public to internal power struggles inside the Agnelli family.

Moggi's slogan of, either everyone is guilty or no one is guilty also rings true to a lot of Juve fans.

Anyway, rather than go through endless of Calciopoli pages to check facts, I wanna move on with the list.

I think a lot of people had Schweini very high. Me too at one point. The next player, another central midfielder, has always kind of been his wall though. Maybe him dropping affected Scweinsteiger a little bit too much now that I think about it.

29: Esteban Cambiasso



Hasn't quite found his gear yet this season but showed again last season that he is a great defensive midfielder when he was instrumental in Inter ending up winning everything.

Definitely not a creative player but underrated going forward where he has the skill to participate in attacking play. Whether it's passing or scoring goals. Shown mostly for the more attacking Argentina but also scores a few goals in Serie A most seasons, which not a lot of defensive midfielders do there.

When healthy he has one of the best work-rates around. Ball winning ability. Great tactical awareness and leadership. Not least when it comes to defending as a team.
