Lol you hit a one outer in that game. Germany was way more dominant than the lineups would've suggested. Not that I think the coach is 100% to blame for that but giving him credit for a win that was down to a gifted penalty (by Schweinsteiger, not the ref) and a goalkeeping mistake is a leak.

You couldn't break down a flexible bus, what have i missed? It's like Deschamps gets credited for his rare losses but when he wins it's not his fault.

I've seen an angle of Japan's 2nd where we can see KdB trot back Germany-style. It's shameful and he proceeds to complain to his teammates even. I reckon this wouldn't go well vs Brazil either.

i bet they add another midfielder (dembele/fellaini), push kdb forward and sacrifice mertens against brazil

Yeah, that was somewhat pathetic. Still KdB so far was more dynamic in attack than all of our players combined this WC, so that should count for something.

I didn't pay attention to Mertens in the group stage but his role didn't appear to serve him and/or the team well last night (well, they were all bad anyway).

He's obviously unbenchable, knows it and that channels the little diva in him, I think.
