Speaking of age, I was casually watching some female skateboarding today as it was on CNBC and one girl was 14 years old. Is that some kind of record??

A quick search shows that Zheng Haohao is 11.

Not sure if it's a record, but it's definitely close.

Max Litchfield is a swimmer in the 400m medley. thats where you have to do all sorts of different wacky splashing manoeuvres throughout the race

the guy finished 4th. he also finished 4th in the previous olympics.

You're right that volleyball is definitely more my thing. Long legs and small bewbs! I also played in college. I wasn't very good.

the girls skateboarding was great!

I liked it last Olympics better though. last time everyone had such a great vibe. the American girl had that vibe this time, big time. she was having a blast!

last time they all seemed so supportive and happy for each other.

this time seemed to be more about the competition

Yeah those Tokyo rooftop vibes were amazing, this time with so many fans it's cool too. Bit more competitive (Japanese girl who barely missed out on the win was very sad), but they still seem very casual and friendly compared to most other sports.

Everybody can say they don't wanna win because their opponents have an offday, that good competition makes the win sweet etc, but from (most of) these guys I'd actually believe it
