For some reason, Draftkings SB odds between 49ers and Chiefs have flipped. Had been SF +550 and KC +600 for at least a month, not it's the other way around?

Did I miss something?

I think Texans went from +1800 to +1700 after the Diggs trade. Bills at +1200 now.

How long before Diggs goes ballistic getting targeted less than Collins/Dell? Bills pretty much punting the season until they can also get rid of Miller/White I guess

This is why the pro move is to sell your fiancee on the idea of eloping and how romantic it will be.

Also, rookie move holding it at the hotel, they will always try and rip you off. A respectable bridal venue is better value and people won't get so out of line.

The real rookie move is not securing a dedicated orgy room in a place that is literally in the business of renting rooms.

Bills get better because the selfish cancer is gone and Allen doesnt have anyone to YOLO 70 yard bombs into triple coverage to. Addition by subtraction.

Hard to see how this deal makes the Bills better. Feels like a re-set, take the pain and then go again in 2025 move after an ‘all in’ few years

I posted that the Bills window was closing last season and it certainly feels more like that now….definitely for 2024

Idk, maybe they have a young receiver or two they’re excited about or maybe they’ll ‘chiefs it’ with some lower paid vets and re-focus how they play but it reads like a ‘get this ****ing guy out of here before he comes even more of a nightmare’ move

Pretty excited to see what Rees-Zammit can do with the Chefs - hard to see that this isn't going to end up a situation where he's on the practice squad exclusively in season one, but with the new kickoff rules I'm thinking he's going to be dangerous, and in a best case situation he's utilised in a bunch of designed read option/lateral plays

That's what I find weird from the Texans side. Diggs is a renowned diva and getting older and they have a really good, young core (old on the whole though I think) with some solid veteran presence.

Unless they think this puts them much closer to locking up a pretty weak division, but I think it's week three when Diggs complains that Nico has one more target than he has. The game vs the Bills next year he'll probably go nuclear at least

Texans problem is their offensive line, they rushed for 38 yards in the playoffs against Balt and Stroud had zero time to throw the ball. Texans already had plenty of talent at the skill positions they need to be trading for someone to protect their franchise QB, i dont get this move at all from them.

I wonder if the Texans tried to get Tee Higgins first. They’re different timelines and maybe they think Dell and Collins are both long term prospects so they just want Diggs to maximise the window for 24 and maybe 25

Re the Diva stuff, I don’t think they’re that concerned. My guess is that Demeco Ryans will be very confident that he can manage Diggs given his background

it's very likely Tee will be playing for CIN this season (i put it at 90% likely)

Tee has the same agent as Bates III. the situation will play out similar to the Bates III's process did

Tee loves JOE and Chase. he's just playing the role of disgruntled WR at his agent's behest (in the unlikely scenario where CIN extends Tee... they won't bc the sides are obv too far apart and won't get close enough to make a deal happen)

i agree w the FO's decision to secure Tee's svcs for this season (via the tag) and then to let him walk

$50 at $8 that he gets traded before the season then? Good vig for you

I agree it’s likely particularly given the trade market for vets hasn’t produced as much draft value as we might have thought.

But I also think the Bengals FO is rational and are staring down the barrel of some very expensive years and upcoming holes at expensive positions

I've been meaning to ask how people who know their NFL and Rugby think he'll do- I have a hard time seeing his all-around skills not being wasted, but he might end making more money anyway

not interested in betting

the FO isn't going to trade him. that's not how they operate. they will call his bluff (if he's even bluffing... he isn't)

Tee isn't going to forgo ~$21.8mm by sitting out the season. he's going to play one more season w his homies in the 'Nati in an attempt to get back to the SB (and, at the same time, look to increase his market value w a better season than the one he just posted)

It’s all about the sport specific stuff. He’s a good enough athlete

It’s similar to Jarryd Hayne the Australian rugby league player. Incredible athlete - Reggie Bush said he was one of the best athletes he’d been around - but he couldn’t pick up the position specific stuff and instincts. Same with Valentine Holmes another Aussie who was on the Jets practice squad. He’s an incredible rugby league player and athlete and he’d be a star if he’d played the sport all his life but just didn’t have the positional learning

I suppose the difference here is LRZ is 23, Hayne was what, 26-27 when he switched? It's going to be a steep learning curve for sure but he does have more time on his side

That’s true. Although I’d guess he’ll give it a max of two years and more likely 1 year and maybe the second offseason before returning to rugby if he hasn’t made it by then

(and by ‘it’ I mean roster spot)

I think Holmes was 23/24

Rees-Zammit is a zero risk investment for the Chiefs outside the less than a million he makes per year. Worst case he creates some additional exposure for the team with the rugby crowd.

He occupies that new 17th spot on the practice squad that's specifically for international players so he's not even taking a practice squad spot away from anyone else. Spotrac lists his signing bonus at $20k so they'd have $13k in dead cap if they replaced him with another international player after the first year.

I agree with feel wrath, he'll last a year if the Chiefs let him then move back to rugby
