My expectation is likely a trade down for them unless 1 of 2 players drop. One being a wideout and one being an interior DL. I do not get trade up vibes.

Wr depth seems so massive that trading up to draft one is a monumental mistake

With that said the jags GM is baalsack so I fully expect them to make that mistake

With all due respect to needle who is a good human

from what I've read, there's 3 clear studs and then a large drop to good depth in 'decent late 1st or solid 2nd day pick guys

I mean there’s 10 wrs graded in the top 50. Even if there’s a slide in relative talent you’re still getting a guy who should be at least good

MHJ, Nabers, and Odunze are clear cut top 10 pick talent.

BTj, Worthy, and Ladd all have every down 2WR set upside.

ADM and Franklin have theoretical upside like the 3 above, but they both have more warts.

Then you have Legette, Pearsall, Baker, Corley, Wilson, etc. who I think can be contributors but doubt they’ll ever be high impact players.

Jermaine Burton is a dark horse, but there are a lot of off the field concerns and he may not go until day 3. He is a borderline round 1 talent, though. Played at both UGA and Bama.

I have no idea what to think of Keon Coleman. Seems like another athletic freak who can’t separate and his game won’t translate. His speed is also weird. Quick initial burst but not as good the longer he runs. He didn’t start focusing on football only until his sophomore year. He also played basketball. He did out produce Jayden Reed in 2022, so there’s that.

I didn’t even touch on guys like McMillan, Polk, Washington, Johnny Wilson, etc.

Then to top it off, we have the most productive college TE ever, who is more WR than TE.

If for whatever reason Odunze (or Nabers) is still available at #10 the Jets will get a lot of calls.

I think most mocks have 7 WRs going in the first round with the final two of them to Buffalo at #28 and Kansas City at #32. Pick #27 seems to be a popular mock trade in general but might come into play if a WR needy team feels the need to jump Buffalo. Especially if it's one of the teams that aren't hot on Legette and Coleman.

heels do you think CAR would consider trading picks #33 and #65 for Tee?

I think we are content to add some rookies on cheap contracts with all of the money we’ve already spent this off-season.

Trading for Diontae also helped.

I do think we take a day 2 WR and just see how it goes.

What’s Tee looking for? Something like 4 years, $100 mil and $60 guaranteed?

So much trade up smoke right now. Rams and 49ers.

he must be looking for something similar to ARSB, no?

i want Tee in the mix for 2024, but if CIN were able to get picks #33 and #65 they may have to just roll the dice and go w it

perhaps LAC moves off pick #5 and picks up additional draft capital and offer CIN #37 and another 2nd round pick for Tee

fwiw peeps, here's the trade value chart you'll want to be referring to this week

I honestly think there are not going to be as many earlier trades as some people think. I expect the first 10 picks to be pretty boring.

I don’t think he’s quite as good as ARSB or Devonta, but maybe that’s the level of what he’s been asking for. The Devonta contract would be a little more palatable at 3 years instead of 4.

I thought I saw somewhere he was seeking in the range of $25 per. And being a 2nd round pick, I’m guessing he won’t settle for less than 4 years.

neat chart thanks for sharing,

having looked at it for a minute i feel that qualifies me as an expert and i can confidently say that this is perceived value chart and not an actual value chart

there's a good amount of data behind it early picks not being valuable - this is a good starting point
https://freakonomics.com/2009/04/is-...ick-a-penalty/

i don't disagree with that as perceived value, without a franchise QB, you're facing a real uphill battle at winning the SuperBowl and the likelihood of grabbing one with an early pick is significantly more likely

but the the bust rate is still very high and the NFL pays their top picks very well so it's an expensive bust to boot

meanwhile the late round picks cost almost nothing and when they don't pan out can still be useful and cheap depth pieces and when they explode they are incredibly value (until they holdout in the preseason in contract negotiations)

but overall agree with the insane top heavy value, if two teams need a QB and there's only one considered a franchise QB then getting pick #2 is useless

I like it even more for the fact you can put in any team and all their draft assets light up
