lolMets rain delay still in the 1st inning and it is 8:45 local time. Supposed to rain all day wed, and some thu too. Just adding on to the 0-3 start.

I was joking about the no-hitter thing btw, and I doubt anyone, even the nuttiest stattaards, actually thought about pulling the 30 year old pitcher at any point before giving up a hit with a 10-0 lead.

I'm for teams being aggressive and if you don't have multiple CS you aren't being aggressive enough, but dbacks had 1st and 2nd 2 outs with their best hitter at the plate and got busted on a bad double steal. Rodon was on the ropes too.

DBacks ran out of position players leading to Boone intentionally walking their last position player to load the bases and face the pitcher with 2 outs. Can't say I've seen that before.

They had basically given up on the game when they sent him in to pitch so might as well let him strike out to end it too. Though it would've been swell if strike 3 was actually somewhere near the zone.

Here's a stat line you don't see every day.

Evan Carter, Ranger outfielder, started last year in low A ball and quickly climbed thru the minors to being a starter for the World Series run.

This year in 5 games and 15 plate appearances, he has zero hits. However, he has scored 5 runs, has an RBI, and an OB% of .318 courtesy of 6 walks. Wacky.
