Fans have responded by throwing lemons on the field and hit a player so the game was hatred.

Entire crowd is chanting "We want the beer snake!"

I have no idea what the plan is.

On the one hand, they didn't advertise much and in weeks 2-5, a lot of games are on FX/ESPN2 before they come back to ABC/ESPN for 6-10. That seems to suggest their fine with building slowly and not super concerned about early ratings.

That said, it feels like they're just relying on the XFL2020 holdovers to carry the league, at least early on, which doesn't make a ton of sense as "Spring Football" isn't novel anymore.
