Welp, this is a disaster. DC has zero energy and Perez is dodging pressure and dropping dimes. Don't see DC coming back unless they get a pick 6 or something.

Reggie seriously didn't call his last TO to challenge literally ANYTHING on that 4th and 15 play. He just rolled over.

He's such a terrible coach, he can't keep getting away with this.

Speaking of the 2 leagues, and I'm not sure exactly how to quantify this, but my brother and I have a small wager on which league will have the most opening day rostered players in the NFL.

I got XFL and he's got USFl.

Pretty sure you've already won, simply due to scheduling.

The XFL season is over, and players are free to sign with teams for canp. The USFL season doesn't end until July 1st, and by then, it's going to be significantly harder for guys to get spots simply because they're already taken.

Makes sense given that the USFL brands itself as "real football" and doesn't focus nearly as much on getting players to the league whereas the XFL makes that a marketing focus.

I wish nothing but the best for any guys that can land a spot on an NFL roster. Good on them.

Russ getting benched in DEN for the Nooch at some point in the season would be awesome.

Not sure how you guys addressed the Practice Squad, but right now, I think it's 2 on the 53-man for the XFL (DC Punter Whalen to GB and SEA Austin Faoliu to SEA lol), but 17 on the PS so far.



Can't speak for the USFL just yet

XFL and USFL in advanced talks for merger

Huh, kinda sucks tbh, but ill withhold jusgement until I see the layout. The "feel" of the XFL was way better imo. If that goes away for the sterile, NFL-but-worse USFL style stuff, it's going to suck.

Looks like the 2 leagues have completed the merger. 4 teams from the USFL and it's expected that only 4 teams from the XFL will survive to form an 8 team league.

It appears that the XFL will be in charge of the league, but I can't find anything on what rules will be used during game play. If it's XFL rules, I'm in. If it's the watered down USFL/NFL rules, I'm out.

Hopefully the Vipers make the cut.

I'm afraid I've got some bad news...

Seems like the most likely line up is:

USFL: Mich, Memphis, Houston, Birmingham

XFL: DC, STL, SA, ARL

LV and SEA likely are getting cut as they're the only worst coast teams in either league and the costs of travel amd shipping are high.

Seems like all the rumors throughout have been that the XFL staff will be running it, so thats promising for the ruleset, which I agree, needs to lean XFL in order to be worth anything at all.

Best news imonis that they seem to be going with XFL-style training hubs rather than USFL style "team" hubs.

That means fans in stadiums at each game rather than empty stadiums half the time.

They are having a fire sale at the XFL fan shop. Especially on Las Vegas Vipers gear. Picked up a hoodie, long sleeve tee and a pair of joggers for the LOLs.
