He might not be elite yet (or ever), but he's definitely the best QB in that division.

Sometimes that's all that matters.

At the same time, I totally wouldn't be surprised if the Titans won.

With that said, he was a generational prospect who survived one of the worst coaching hires in history and showed big improvement in his second season with a good to great coach. He’s now added Ridley to an already solid offense.

He also led one of the biggest playoff comebacks ever against another supposedly elite QB. They also hung with the eventual champions in the divisional round.

Trevor may not have fully proven it on the field yet, but the trajectory is there.

Just on this….my guess is that there’s actually a buoyant trade market for Murray next offseason.

There’s a ton of pseudo contending teams who might need a QB for one reason or another. Vikings, Dolphins, Patts, Lions. And then other teams like Steelers, Falcons, Broncos, Raiders, who might be willing to move on from their QB after another 17 games with them.

IMO the narrative on Murray has swung too far the other way and someone will talk themselves into the talent, the terrible coaching situation he’s had and the pockets of above average play and progress he’s had.

Obviously it depends on if he plays this year and how he plays if he does but I’d guess at least a 2 and probably higher
