Lance needs to go to a coach who believes in building a system around a QB’s strengths vs one who believes a QB needs to fit into his system.

I’ve got no idea if Lance is/can be good but the big mistake they made drafting him wasn’t his talent but it was the type if QB he was/had the potential to be.

I was beating the drum all last year during his run that Bork firmly entrenched himself as the franchise qb. It wasn’t cuz of talent, it was just observation of how Kyle called plays with him under center actually trusting the qb unlike anything we’ve seen from Womp or Lance

The trade for Lance was a perfect storm of terrible ideas

1. The goal was to flip the pick for Rodgers, not keep it
2. Failing that the goal was to take Mac
3. Realizing they gave up 3 years of equity to pick a guy they coulda gotten easily if they did nothing they took a guy whose career was derailed by a pandemic
4. You’re a Super Bowl contender who can’t afford to give a project reps

Lance is a modern day Tannehill. A team will get him cheap cuz the Niners have less than no leverage and will probably let him go for a conditional pick because it costs them more to cut him. If a team like atlanta or tampa or even Washington picks him up and develops him they may have a Diamond in the rough

If Bork is that dude I couldn’t care less and I wish him well. The last time I talked to Corey he talked extensively about how the bullpen catcher was the best job in all of sports. He said the bullpen catcher is technically part of the team, he gets to hang out with famous ballplayers, his risk of injury is minimal, he has very little pressure since it is unlikely he gets in a game and he gets free chilly dogs during the game. This conversation should have been my sign that Corey didn't want the spotlight of being the #2 WR of the best QB in the league today.

As I said a month or 2 ago corey was the 2nd best WR NYJ have so this will come as a blow to the offense, but no QB has performed as well with such little talent as Godgers. Lazard is a solid #4 WR that is being thrust into roll of #2, hardman has never had this kind of arm talent throw to him so it will be interesting to see what he can do and cobb may be old and past his prime but my Grandpa who faught along side Randall is WW2 says he is fighter and he will never give up.
