That was the expectation in KC when QB coach (and former Chiefs OC and Bears HC) Matt Nagy was promoted to replace Eric Bienemy. Now everybody wishes that never happened.

Old news: Dak Prescott has one year left on his deal

New news: Dak has both a no trade clause AND a no franchise tag clause

32yo QB, second in All Pro votes who will be top 5 in MVP voting

LEVERAGE!!!

Either he signs the biggest contract in NFL history (I’d be guessing $60m per) or he’ll be a free agent at the end of the season at which point he will sign by far the biggest contract in NFL history

Dak’s current cap hit for 2024 is $58m

Also, Jeudy needs extending and will want highest paid receiver.

Zack Martin has one year left (with a cap hit of 28.5) and is going to want highest at his position

Parsons is now extendable, he’s going to want highest paid defender ever and he seems like the type that might hold out. (Not judging, I would too)

Gonna be a large cash outlay this offseason
