stroud is +5000 on dk if anyone wants a punt, i put some more on him definitely not a sports betting guru but seems like good value

they'll have to make the playoffs for him to win obv

gonna be hard to keep dallas out of the top 2 if they beat Philly this week, but then if they lose to another >.500 team its gonna be hard to put them in the top 8

Will they be willing to give MVP and ROY to the same guy?

Stroud is putting up big numbers while still only completing 63.4% of his passes. That's just 23rd in the league (including six 5-8 games played QBs).

It may be his low completion % and only 5 interceptions are caused by a little too much caution (by design?).

You're good. If all else fails, the Colts play the Texans in the final week of the season. You can rest easy knowing even if they win their games to that point and go into that week tied for the 7th spot, their choke hard against the Texans (also Stroud is a stud)

Sure why not

Not sure there is a direct relation

obiously I think he is a long shot just better than 50 to 1

on the one hand he doesn't have tons of statement matchups coming up on the other he has lots of games to put up big numbers and maybe game winning drives

actually the real value may be josh allen at +5000

Never going to happen, but it'd be cool if there were some minimum positional requirements to being considered for MVP. Something like

QB: 4,000 yards passing, 30 passing TDs, Total Team Losses <=5
RB/WR/TE: 1,500 yards and 15 TDs

Bills are 6-6

A QB has never won MVP on a team with more than 5 losses.

Yeah, but if there is anyone that can do it, it’s obviously Jawsh.

The Colts with a rookie HC and 2nd string QB and the Texans with a rookie HC and rookie QB both have a better record than the Bills with JAWSH.

Is such a think even possible??

It's tough to know how good NYJ would be w/ Godgers, but Godgers looked like a top 8-10 pass thrower last year with some of the worst pass catchers in the league. This year he took over his #1 and #3/4 pass catcher from last year and the NYJ pass catchers are so much better than those guys that they barely see the field (despite the NYJ still having a bottom 10 pass catching room).

They would at worse be a lock (barring injury) for the playoffs and be a top 3 team. I think most NYJ fans would prefer to give up a 1st rounder instead of a 2nd rounder to be ~20% to win the SB.

If we were talking about the most valuable player the +5000 is insane value for stroud, but we are talking about the MVP award which is traditionally gone to either mahomes, brady or the best QBs on a top 10 team.

this is not a normal year. whoever wins MVP will easily be the worst MVP in over a decade. we are talking about Dak, Purdy and a rookie QB as the leading contenders right now.

10 or less.

They gave up 10 the previous two games, losses to the Colts (in Germany) and Giants (off a NE bye).

The silver lining is that he may be able to watch both those kids in the playoffs from the comfort of his own home and may be able to learn a thing or two.

Jets with a healthy Rodgers would still be politely asking Zach Wilson to play Quarterback.

it's important to remember when dealing with these things that it's more important to understand the voters and what they vote on rather than who is objectively the best choice

ie a lot of squares saw messi, someone who decided to play in the mls this year and forego top euro competition as the favorite to win the ballon as laughable given that haaland had one of the best single seasons in the history of soccer and scored the most goals ever in a single season in the premier league and was the best player for the best club team in the world

so they loaded up and bought haaland futures, thinking they were going to clean up

but messi won, because messi won the world cup, haaland's country didn't even qualify for the world cup - in a world cup year, that's all the voters cared about - nothing else really mattered

i don't begin to pretend to understand how mvp voting occurs, but it's my strong reccomendation to review who got votes and why in recent years, knowing it's going to be the same pool of voters again this year using the same metrics and criteria

the entire reason why i wanted to bet brock purdy because a really sharp professional sports bettor mentioned it once or twice on twitter and that alone made me consider tailing and now heavily regret not doing so
