I realize trout has been injured for the last 3 years but it is still mindblowing to see how he’s been trainwrecked and how even this year he’s barely in the top 20 in WAR

Rookie Trout stole 49 bases but they've told him to stop running entirely since 2020. Judge should do the same once he comes back. He has a career OPS+ of 165 and 50 HR per 162 games. That's inner-circle HoF talent and you need him playing.

I had LSU to win the College World Series from a couple of months ago. I kind of intuited that it might go with their women's hoops crown, which I also had in that bad wrong favorite NCAA women's final. Whatever you do, don't tell candybar about this angle I took. He'll post some thousand word conniption fit about how stupid it is, while I'm cashing and while he's waiting for Wemby to challenge Kareem and LeBron.

It was kind of dramatic the way his speed numbers died so young. He came up acting like the speed numbers would be great, doubles and triples great ... and they started sucking about age 25. I get it that once the wheels get some tweaks to them you don't risk stealing bases if it might end your season, but that he isn't a prolific doubles hitter seems weird.

That one shouldn’t even really count because it was a double steal. The dude has also worn a giant oven mitt on his hand running the bases this year. Just wrap him in bubble sheets and move him to RF at this point, imo.

Probably not surprising, but Ohtani leads the Angels in literally every batting and pitching stat except for saves.

With the Mets fumbling and bumbling their way through the season this means that Uncle Steve will make an even bigger splash attempt at acquiring Ohtani in free agency.

Trout expects Ohtani to get 600M.

I fully expect Uncle Steve to blow all offers out of the water with an 800M bid.

You thought Linsanity was sick? Just wait for Ohtaninsanity! It would be out of this world

!

But yeah for now I’m all about my Reds and Angels. League is basically ****ed if the Angels at least make the World Series cuz then it’s pretty damn likely Ohtani runs it back, now being on a “winner”.

It was rookie-level, which is the lowest level and one level below Low-A (minor league levels go from Rookie to Low-A to High-A to AA to AAA). Rookie ball is basically where high school draftees (or age-equivalent or younger international prospects) start and might even be worse than top D-I programs.

Oh yeah. Luved him. Andre was a big power/speed man coming up for a bunch of years, threatening 30/30 almost every year. Bunch of triples. A Bobby Bonds type just after Bobby.

going from being a top-tier MLB starter to this in one year is kinda mind blowing.

I'm sure he'll be starting for the cardinals at some point later this season as we sign everyone's discarded junk instead of going after guys like ohtani
