No. Ban hand goals, but using a skate should absolutely be legal. I don't get it either.

Is Colorado going to beat Edmonton? I thought Calgary would be playing Colorado because Edmonton can be pretty easy to score against and defences have been able to shutdown the Oilers first two lines in the past.

Is Colorado's D better than Calgary's? Can Edmonton finally outscore their deficiencies?

I thought the Avs played with so much speed and talent on offence and defence, so much like Tampa Bay, that they would dominate any team in the West, but I'm not sure now.

I imagine this round will prove to be one-sided, but for whom?

OIler's biased and I thought it was a good goal and the league blew it. Though the Flames deserved to lose this series .

Markstrom was horrible and Smith was OK at best

Oilers First line destroyed Calgary's

100%. Game deciding goal that was going in whether it touched Coleman's foot or not. Makes it hard not to believe the league really wanted Mcdavid to move on.

i think real winner is edm coach

calgary has been absolutley dominant defensively and edm just racked up an absurd amount of goals

was also crazy how tkachuck was basically mia and only guy getting it done was gaudreau

2 years ago tkachuck was a much better player, 1 year ago tkachcuk better but still somewhat even, this year gaudreau really elevated to clearly be best player on the squad - he's for sure getting paid big time

i hope cgy bring it back next year and keep all the big pieces, they have a really good core and a bunch of youthful prospects who seem promising, we could be on the verge of a dynasty if they hold it together

You are right about Gaudreau, he is really good, the problem with smaller guys like him is unless they play with an edge, like a Marty St Louis, it is tough for his skill to translate on a consistent basis in the playoffs.

Having said that, I am still utterly shocked the oilers won, glad they did though, just love watching Connor & Leon create.

They already had Tavares, the PO suspensions were driving it imo. Also got Kerfoot back who saved them surprisingly little money but plays wing

Reading Barrie and help on D in the same sentence is funny

agreed but barrie hadn't yet been exposed and was a top offensive d at that time iirc

pretty sure most sides wondered why colorado would do that deal at the time but midway through year one it was pretty clear colorado won it hands down
