I was at those world juniors and from the area, I remember hearing a lot of stories about the players going downtown, visiting the universities and their training camp at STFX university. Players sleeping with 2-3 different girls a day and stuff like that. It's sad but doesn't surprise me these alligations are coming forward, Jr hockey culture was/probably still is awful.

yeah that trade might be good for 1 season but i certainly wouldn't want to be giving a 30yo huberdeau a $80m/8 type extension, let alone whatever weegar wants, if he's at all interested in staying

1. he still would have been rfa after next season
2. they could have traded him to 30 other teams for different stuff

i guess they kinda had to make a "win-now" type deal given their roster, but 2022-23 will probably be their best shot, then harder every season after until they rebuild again glgl

They were 2nd in the West last season and made it to the 2nd round of the playoffs before running into Mcdavid. Hardly mediocre.

supposedly kadri is gonna sign with the islanders, just waiting for them to clear some cap space or something

klingberg no clue, haven't really heard anything on him, which could mean somewhere random (aka whoever has money to spend)

yeah, they lost in 5 to the ****ing loilers, that's pathetic

and then they replaced johnny hockey & tkachuk with huberdeau & weegar

they'll be long shots this year, then probably take too long to pull the trigger on the next rebuild, uh2ci
