Keeping the 70-year-old coaching dinosaur instead of the 33-year-old Hall of Fame QB seems odd.

meh, I like the deal for Seattle more than most....I don't see Wilson aging well into his late 30's and I don't see Seattle that close to contending the next few years. Wilson wasn't very good the last 1.5 years with a very good supporting cast. I get the deal for Denver but I'm not sure where I'd rank R Wil at QB right now.

This was likely the last year Seattle could get a haul like that, I think they sold high.

russ is pretty great if he can stay healthy.

he was hurt for much of this year. last year he started like gangbusters. agreed lockett and metcalf are good but D has been trash for a while and OL has never been that great. they also had issues with running backs (carson and penny) getting/being hurt. russ should have never come back early last year. you could tell that his deep ball was completely off.

weapons will be solid especially he'll have an elite tackle, elite RB and solid WR options. d was always pretty solid in denver and somehow they didn't have to give up anyone critical on D for this trade to go through. i absolutely hate russ but for denver a trade like this made a lot of sense since they've struggled a ton developing QBs.

Interesting move by Pete particularly - how much longer is he coaching that he’s happy to rebuild?

Also giant overpay for Mike Williams

What's the point of putting Drew Lock in the trade? Like is Seattle that dumb they are actually going and try to use him?

Considering Jordan Love’s entire contract will have come and gone with Rodgers as the starter for the entire time where does this rank among the stupidest draft picks ever?

this is the right hot take. an excellent deal for SEA.

Seattle now has ammo to trade for Watson...even if he's out another year, they have Lock as a bridge

Rough division to move to. Best qbs oat.

i thought the hotter take was that you'd need ammo to get watson at this point

Seems like an amazing haul for the Seahawks for Russ. I mean Russ can ball out in Denver and it would still be a good trade. I personally think Russ is on the washed side of things but still probably has a couple serviceable-to-good years left in him.

Who had the worse day: GB, Sea, or Denver ?

The Chiefs

His stats last year were quietly extremely good. You just think he's washed because of bad coaching, bad playcalling, a losing team, and him playing not the best for a few games with his injury. It's a trap a lot of people haven fallen into.

I think people are really overstating this for the Seahawks. Haul seems way better than it actually is

Lock is trash so let’s not bother assessing him

Seahawks are getting a high first in one of the worst qb drafts in recent memory and what’ll become a low first next year. Maybe those and the 2nds are an ok haul for a team who knows how to draft but seattle definitely isn’t that

Maybe they flip all this for watson and even if that happens there are the obvious questions there, they still have no o-line, they still have a gum chewing dinosaur as their coach and they’re still in the roughest division in the nfc

Seahawks got back the picks they butchered with the Adams trade.

Let’s see how they waste them this time

SRM - are you saying you'd expect SEA to get more from another potential suitor? bc the reports i'm seeing is that the divorce bt the two parties was going to happen, so Wilson being SEA's Week 1 starter later this year wasn't on the table.

I wonder what GB gets for a Jordan Love trade this off-season. His market is really helped by the lack of draft QBs.

Guessing maybe a 2nd?

DONT READ THIS MICKEY

well….indirectly it inspired two consecutive MVP years from an ageing QB whose play had declined in the previous two years
