A bit of a worry as to why noone else is interested in Tielemans. Just seems like a sensible deal to me. Am I overrating him?
I legit think he's great and absolutely do not want to see him in an Arsenal shirt. I also think Jesus is fairly average and while an upgrade on Nketiah I don't see him as doing too much for you when he doesn't have Foden/KDB/Sterling/Mahrez/Gundogan setting him up.

I mean he rejected the contract offer from Leicester and said he wants to join us. Not a great position for Leicester with the 1 year left on his deal - that is just a headache for all parties involved come the 2nd part of the season - no matter how rich the club are. Orny and FabRom did not mention an official bid yet either which seems weird - or maybe we are trying to settle the contract terms with Tielemans first to add some more pressure? Not sure.

I'm really hopeful we will get him tho and will not play around too much inviting others to swoop in.

See I'm lukewarm about the Jesus thing, but given that a.) we have nobody better b.) we are going to europe + cups + league - we cannot start the division with an Eddie / Martinelli partnership. We just can't.

I do not have qualms about our creative output. We just need someone that can score some ****** goals which we missed desperately in the 2nd half of the season (as well).

Also I'm not sure if we can get another realistic target this window when ManU/Chelsea/Spurs all want to buy a striker and Liverpool just swept up Nunez.

I dont think even the most optimistic arsenal fans see Jesus scoring 20 PL goals next year. They hope he can be quite a bit better than Laca, and that the signings/kids around him continue to improve the team.

Martinelli isn't a CF option for non online people. If Jesus doesn't get done, we will move on to DCL or someone else.

What's the lol? Sterling is one of the most productive players in the league despite his flaws.

3rd behind Salah and Jota for npxg+xa /90 last season.

And still only 27.

Which is why they are not getting him for £22m.

Not much left on his contract, but yea 22M would be lol+dominating.

That said I find Sterling frustrating to watch, if he improved his decision making he would massively leverage his already good numbers.

Talent/skill gets him into a lot of spots he could be much more productive in.

Yeah I was so confused about the initial fee reported for Sterling ———> Chelsea. Still think 55-60m is on the low end. Chelsea gonna have enough money left over afterwards to buy the new CBs needed?

Reading that Raphinha to Arsenal is getting a lot closer. I’d get up and dance like a madman around my house if this actually happens.

Will be slightly frustrating when Jesus costs more than Sterling, but Raheem will be on double the wages.

Chelsea probably have some kid they can throw in that will turn into the next Kevin De Salah.

I don't think Sterling will get the kind of wages he's on now unless he runs his contract down.

Sterling reminds me of Kane a little for the stick he gets despite actual results. He looks awkward on the ball sometimes for a winger and does appear to run into traffic a lot, but you look at the production and it's really tough to argue with.

eriksen would be such a united signing because his reputation is much better than his performances at this point. he's fine but nothing special really

then when he doesnt help them get better everyone can talk about how united ruin players instead of the real problem which is they're buying big name players who not that actually that good

Last edited by daca; 06-20-2022 at 02:48 PM. Reason: frenkie de jong doesnt really live up to his reputation either

Apparently we submitted an official offer. I'll believe it when I see it

Luiz likely to go to roma apparently. Would have loved to have signed bissouma ugh

Think he's going to be a balla in another country. Doesn't quite work out at villa for some reason but in a slower league I think he will crush it. Has quite big potential and shame hes been constantly played as a DM for us.

Guy has games where he just crushes it all over the park.

Trying to replace him with Gallagher wouldn't be a bad idea but I guess impossible for Chelsea to sell this window?

he's basically the same player as kamada who i guess could be leaving? though they also only had 3 good attacking players last season so a few more wouldnt hurt

Cant decide which transfer is a bigger L…Griezmann or Luakaku. At least the former put in some good performances before being shipped back to Atletico. Belgie Mark Henry was just a fat unprofessional POS.

I’m sure Raphinha’s first choice would be Barca, but doubt Leeds will accept payment in paella vouchers. More worried about Chelsea stealing him away.
