Spurs are already so far ahead of us and the sad thing is I don’t know realistically how we close that gap anytime soon. It all starts from the top down.

So this Darwin guy scored at over double his xG last season and that’s not a red flag for Liverpool? I’m not really convinced about this move but I have barely watched him and am basically a fbip.

With two games to go in the season the xG and XA were 99% the same despite us playing with 10 men for 2/3 the year in laca. They've got their signings in early, wp.

Bissouma is a great signing for them but wouldn't start for us. We have too many holes to afford another DM this window.

Have you watched Haaland play? He absolutely is not "mainly just a poacher". He scores a bunch of goals when he's sent through from the midfield, and his finishing is great from everywhere.

Even if he was "just a poacher", it's a fantastically hard skill to be in the right place at the right time to score those goals (and to finish them), he's scoring at a faster rate than anyone else globally, must be something to it.

But we are obviously signing a CF. We got relegation level production from the CF position vs a golden boot season from a Spurs winger and a decent Kane season and had the same xG through gw35, then you pulled away a bit at the end.

I'd obviously be worried about our attack if we were running it back with Laca, but we are not.

I'm pretty confident we will sign Tielemans and Jesus. Two good starters. Need more help, but get those done and it's a good Xi.
