I am having trouble liking any trade that resulted in losing Moreno. I just think we should have tried to move Kirk now and that Moreno might end up being really, really good.

Gurriel is a throw-in so I just hope Varsho ends up having a greater long term value than Moreno, but am having trouble seeing that right now. I guess were are trading confirmed "good" for likely "very good", but again it is baseball so no guarantees that Moreno will be very good.

Any speculation what this might be (beyond STDs)? He's missed like 30 games per season on average which is significant but it seems like teams aren't concerned about his nagging injuries point but something else that could make things go sideways in a major way? Not asking for anything well-sourced here, just anything that'd make sense or speculation on what amount these teams would be willing to take the chance for

I guess I should be the most well informed Correa rumor guy here, but I'm not. His back is ****ed and supposedly went on the IL from a rough massage from his now wife. His leg is apparently ****ed. And again he will probably never play 150+ games two seasons in a row, but still may win an mvp one of those years.

Correa, 28, required arthroscopic surgery to repair a fractured right fibula and minor ligament damage after he hit an RBI triple and his spike got stuck on the bag in June 2014, when he was 19 and still in the minor leagues with the Astros. Astros GM Jeff Luhnow said at the time Correa’s fracture was nearer to the ankle than his knee.

In eight major-league seasons, Correa has never gone on the injured list with a right-leg problem. He made reference to the hardware in his leg after a game on Sept. 20 in which he appeared to be injured following a hard slide, but missed no time afterward.

“He just hit my plate,” Correa told reporters. “I had surgery and he hit it. Just kind of felt numb. Vibrating. So I was just waiting for it to calm down. It was a little scary, but when I moved I knew it was good.”

They know what they're getting better than anyone. Although it is weird the Astros didn't offer the 3 yrs with opt outs initially. I'm going to bet on him again to mvp at this season and prob the one after. Dude has an insane inside out swing.
