Am puzzled by the Giants or any team being interested at the duration and $ per year being tossed around. The quality of 2 players you could get for that money at less risk is pretty high.

Let’s say the giants land him at 300/8 or whatever. Not ideal, the problem is Judge sure as hell won’t come with a player optout. Turner or correa almost certainly will. And probably after like 2 or 3 years which means the giants would likely have 1 year of total **** with them, 1 or 2 years of viability then watch them leave for the open market
At least with judge it’s 1 year of ****, 3 or 4 (fingers crossed 5) years of viability, then the remainder of the contract is past his prime sunk cost. They need a star badly but not one who will leave by the time they’re ready to be a contender. We signed rodon and what ****ing good did that end up doing
