2021 World Series - Page 2 - Sporting Events and Fantasy Sports

To be fair the 1903 word series wasn't scheduled before the season. The Pirates challenged Boston when they had both basically locked up their respective pennants late in the season to a post season series.They tried something similar in 1902 and it fell through. It wasn't until 1905 where it was agreed upon before the season that the winners of the 2 leagues would play each other in the World Series (which was still best of 9)

Oh. Interesting. There was some similar stuff between leagues with the advent of the Super Bowl and also talk back and forth between NBA and ABA.

One of the issues is some guy keeps putting a new thread for every series instead of just having one postseason thread. Plus all the sleazy teams with large fan bases have been eliminated.

Hallion has been absolutely terrible behind the plate tonight. It's amazing either team has scored with him giving every pitcher 3 inches off the outside corner. That pitch to Riley last inning wasn't even close.

Yeah. People are making too much of the decision to pull Anderson. With that pitch count and lack of command, he was never going more than six innings. It's possible that Snitker could have saved one inning of bullpen work, but nothing more.
