whoever the habs face in the quest for the cup we just have to play our game... and play it a whole lot better than usual.
You are not going to outplay the Leafs. Your best bet is a huge goalie differential or some weird historic failure the Leafs are known for. I do agree with you that the real odds should be closer as the Leafs have a LOT of scar tissue to overcome.
Good to see the Caps win after the refs gifted Boston their 2nd goal with that horrendous icing call that ended up leading to a penalty and the subsequent goal. I'm going to really enjoy these late NHL and NBA playoffs.
Lack of crowds is super obvious, though, unfortunately. OT just didn't feel the same.
With all the guys coming back and rested...habs could be a tough out.
KK, Caufield wearing the gray, not active jerseys in practice, probably not going to play on the road to start. Going with Staal...who didn't have anything. But is of course a vet. With Perry...i mean i can see them playing ok the first 2 games after all these days off. Anderson is on that line too, so big line with veterans. I mean it is what is it is, 2 old slow guys and Anderson- not much down the stretch. He probably could use this rest they are on now too.
and they likely are going with the kids at home when they have the last change. The two teams play 3 games in 4 days, so some shuffling will be good for habs.
They don't want Caufield stuck in his zone vs top Leafs line, but want to sneak him in on PP and such.

So, I think maybe that is the plan, playing old guys the first 2 on the road, bringing in young guys for the back to back.
I think 2 of the goals past him were tips. We're just spoiled when it comes to goaltending. But if you watch elsewhere you'll see what bad goaltending looks like.
