Bet enough to win 2u on Penguins -150

2u on Leafs -275/Oilers -180 +112

These are to win the series

Re: 2021 NHL "Condensed" Season

Quote:
The Leafs’ expected goal percentage at five-on-five with Matthews and Weber on the ice this season was 49.38 percent, per Natural Stat Trick. Matthews had a similar number this season when matched up with Edmonton Oilers giant Darnell Nurse (48.49 percent) or Calgary Flames defensive pest Chris Tanev (40.42). There were only 15 players in the division who played at least 30 minutes at five-on-five with Matthews this season where the Leafs had an expected goal percentage of less than 50 percent (which is crazy). The Canadiens have five of them: Brendan Gallagher, Phillip Danault, Tomas Tatar, Jesperi Kotkaniemi and Weber. It just so happens that four of those players should be facing Matthews on a regular basis, seeing as it is a matchup Sheldon Keefe doesn’t appear to fear a whole lot. He rarely makes any effort to get Matthews away from it.

But it’s not only about Matthews, it’s about the Canadiens being physical all over the ice, with everyone they can. Joel Edmundson will need to do the same in a likely matchup with John Tavares and William Nylander, and Josh Anderson will need to do it whenever he is on the ice.
from athletic.com

Habs have done a good job vs Mathews line when they have their main guys playing. Their best hope is to play physical and hope the ref's swallow the whistle. The final PP numbers were actually pretty close for the 2 teams, 20% to 19%. PK both tied at 78%.

Obviously Leafs favored. I see no value in Leafs -300. That is 75%. I think it's closer than that, but...yeah I would.

Re: 2021 NHL "Condensed" Season

Habs led the NHL in hits/game.

I posted about three young habs, the other, Romanov...he is a physical player. Had a goal the first game. Didn't score the rest of the season. Not for lack of trying either...1.4% on shots. Played 54 games out of 56, yet they say with Weber coming back and the new additions at D...idk if he is in the D pairings to start the playoffs.

He impresses with his skating and big hits. But...seems like he hit a rookie wall the entire last month of the season. Maybe the frustration of not scoring...a lot of games without much break...new system, new pairings... Lot of mistakes, well about what you would expect from a rookie turned 21 in January.

He isn't huge, can still get bigger. Still, they do feel it when he hits them. Short clip...the music is a bit much here...

Seedings not set. Col wins West if they win tonight. (losing to the LOL kings 1-0 in the 2nd)

Re: 2021 NHL "Condensed" Season

and the kings reverted back to being useless wastes of flesh and the avs now have the #1 seed with the tiebreaker.

instead of facing a team they went 8-0 against this year, VGK get stuck playing a team they've always struggled with. and then the avs again at some point if they can get past the wild.

lehner was a bit shaky late in the season. curious to see if de boer will still rotate him and MAF.

in any event, things went from looking great to awful for vgk quickly.

Re: 2021 NHL "Condensed" Season

Wound up with a team of

Sid-Geno-Letang
Rask-Krejci
Aho
Stone-Karlsson-Tuch
Matthews-Reilly-Campbell

Figure I'm live to win with a few combos there. Gave myself some Leaf equity to crush the blow of them potentially winning

Hard to say itís awful...Pacioretty needs to be healthy and productive and they need scoring from at least another line and they should be fine. I donít like the goalie rotation thing at all either. Weíll see how it all happens though, should be fun.

i'm convinced mackinnon best player alive right now

rest of that roster nothing special and when he's injured that becomes incredibly apparent

all times the are 22-19-2 in games he's missed
290-222-61 with him

also just discovered statmuse.com while looking for this, such as awesome site, you can type in queries in natural language and it figures out what you mean and spits it back out

Incorrect. Their young D is amazing. Makar (22), Girard(22), DToews(26), Byram(19!), Graves (25)

Exactly, and McK runs around like a chicken with it's head cut off half the time. Probably peaked last anyway.

Re: 2021 NHL "Condensed" Season

So Bruins vaccine delayed till after round 1 now.

Still Ritchie-Kuraly-Coyle

Wagner on the 4th with Debust-Laser

Man I can't wait till tomorrow night. Hopefully Miller-Lauzon pairing makes some old time big hits.

This. Makar is amazing, Girard has really stepped his game up as well.
