So, Oilers were 29.4% to lead league in PP last year. (idk what changes/injuries they may or may not have this year) I thought our D played really well. They never really got anything going.

would have liked to see suzuki stay in the VGK organization. but it is win now for VGK so he was traded.

overall, given VGK had a kazillion draft picks after the expansion draft, I would have thought a few more "homegrown" players might have turned out good enough to make the VGK roster by year 4. we've only had one so far really make it - zach whitecloud - altho another one is trying to make it back again (nick hague). at least they're d men where VGK probably need the most help.

Vegas trades first round pick in 2018, a second round pick in 2019 (originally belonging to New York Islanders) and Vegas' own 2021 third round pick for Tatar.

Then sends Tatar to Mtl along with Suzuki and a 2019 second-round pick for Patches.

In summary: Patches to Vegas who gives up Tatar, Suzuki, and 4 draft picks.

Back then I heard that Melrose had no idea how to coach the power play and that the GM actually came down on the ice to run it for them. So bad.

That ownership group was terribad as well, just a clown show.

Patches was traded for Tatar, Suzuki and a 2nd rounder.

VGK gave up a first second and third for Tatar, and personally I blame Gallant for that not working. But maybe it was a poor fit.
