Yeah that was weird, dude bats it down from the rafters but because it goes off Rask and then his teammate it's not reviewable? I guess only high stick goals can be reviewed, not normal high stick passes

Ref didn't see it. It would've been a pretty obvious overturn if he batted it into the goal directly but apparently because he didn't, they can't look at video after the fact after the ref missed it.

Correct.

Imagine a situation where there is 5 minutes of hockey played with no whistle and someone scores, but they go back and look at the tape and 5 minutes prior someone on the scoring team high sticked the puck. No goal?

Now, the rules are a bit more expansive. Coaches can now challenge plays after “goal calls on the ice that follow plays in the offensive zone that should have resulted in a play stoppage, but did not.” Had this rule been in effect last year, then Cassidy could have challenged the Columbus goal.
