Habs have done a good job vs Mathews line when they have their main guys playing. Their best hope is to play physical and hope the ref's swallow the whistle. The final PP numbers were actually pretty close for the 2 teams, 20% to 19%. PK both tied at 78%.

Obviously Leafs favored. I see no value in Leafs -300. That is 75%. I think it's closer than that, but...yeah I would.

Habs led the NHL in hits/game.

I posted about three young habs, the other, Romanov...he is a physical player. Had a goal the first game. Didn't score the rest of the season. Not for lack of trying either...1.4% on shots. Played 54 games out of 56, yet they say with Weber coming back and the new additions at D...idk if he is in the D pairings to start the playoffs.

He impresses with his skating and big hits. But...seems like he hit a rookie wall the entire last month of the season. Maybe the frustration of not scoring...a lot of games without much break...new system, new pairings... Lot of mistakes, well about what you would expect from a rookie turned 21 in January.

He isn't huge, can still get bigger. Still, they do feel it when he hits them. Short clip...the music is a bit much here...

and the kings reverted back to being useless wastes of flesh and the avs now have the #1 seed with the tiebreaker.

instead of facing a team they went 8-0 against this year, VGK get stuck playing a team they've always struggled with. and then the avs again at some point if they can get past the wild.

lehner was a bit shaky late in the season. curious to see if de boer will still rotate him and MAF.

in any event, things went from looking great to awful for vgk quickly.

Hard to say it’s awful...Pacioretty needs to be healthy and productive and they need scoring from at least another line and they should be fine. I don’t like the goalie rotation thing at all either. We’ll see how it all happens though, should be fun.
