I think Garland is good. How good the trade is for Vancouver depends on how washed up OEL is. Might have just traded a bunch of anchors for a longer term anchor even with the small retain.

I like what Phx has done. Their cap sheet is pretty damn clean.

That Garland is supposed to be good, he better be really really good. Anyway it's just getting away from a set of bad contracts to a single bad contract.

They continue to give out these 7-8yr contracts even now as almost single GM is navigating around the mistakes of his predecessor or his own fself. lol

This guy wasn't even some sort of top ten talent that dropped. He was rated second round and Montreal still drafted him knowing it would cause a shitstorm.

From my readings of Bergevin and the tactics he makes, that guy seriously loves living on the edge and gets Habs fans to pull their hair off at every moment. It's like he thinks he's a god and is untouchable or people see him as a guy that's really just one step away from being fired.

Never a dull moment with that guy, good or bad (in this case, bad).
