Alright enough of living in the past. Leafs...sorry about that. Habs made some big changes this year. At this point, I am a bit worried about the whole covid Delta thing...but they pulled it off ok last year...so. yeah.

We'll talk about no Danault and Weber. Signed PP scorer Hoffman. All about the kids...Suzuki, Caufield, KK, Romanov. Habs young and perhaps weak up the middle. Got that big D still with Sutter now. 2 goalies. Lot to talk about with the habs!

Count me in the good riddance camp. I will never ever ever forgive him - there was a game during the decade of darkness in Edmonton when the Rangers came to town. I went to the game, the Oilers put forth a particular putrid performance and lost quite handily, with Lundqvist getting the shutout.

I will never forget his post game interview where they asked him about it and he outright laughed and said some shutouts are easier than others or something to that effect.

In happier news (for some) Couturier and Svechnikov sign 8 year, $7.75M contracts.

Those seem like good deals for both although I suppose Couturier is at the end of his prime... which kind of hurts to say about a player I would've shared a draft class with had I actually ever #playedthegame

Question - how likely is a team finishes 5th and gets in playoffs? idk...it's a very balanced schedule, everybody in a conference has almost same scheduled opposition/tot games vs them.
