I feel like I need to explain to you how a Hail Mary from midfield actually works:
The QB takes the snap, drops back to somewhere around his own 40-yard line, and tries to avoid getting sacked for 4-5 seconds while his 4 receivers run into the end zone (along with 6 defenders). Then he rears back and wings the ball about 60+ yards downfield, in hopes that it drops into (or ricochets into) the hands of one of his guys.
Other than just having the ability to chuck the ball that distance (which most every QB today has), the idea that you think this involves any actual skill on the part of the passer is pretty funny.
