When you consider that plus the face that Brady was at or above league average this past year (after adjusting for the talent around him) at 43 that means Godgers can be a top 10 (maybe top 5?) QB until he's 45ish so he still has 8 years left of being a super bowl contender.

If Rodgers plays well and they go deep in the playoffs, he becomes even more entitled and demanding.

If he plays poorly and/or they suck, he takes his ball and goes home.

If 8 years is true then yes, but the vast majority the evidence is that it won't be true. Brady is Peter Pan. all of Peyton, Eli, Brees, Rape fell away in late 30s or in Brees case at 40.

so assuming he plays well next year, I guess the question is...how many more years does he need to produce at top 10 level for it to be a mistake. 1, 2, 3?

I'm a fan of Minshew, but I don't see why they wouldn't unless they have decided Trevor is still a long way from ready. I doubt they have made that assessment.

As much as I like Minshew, I believe his upside is limited. It might be better for a team inside the division to have him for a few years or longer rather than stumbling into the next Trevor in a year or two. However, Minshew's contract is so cheap that I would be reluctant to trade him at all unless I got a very nice offer.
