ec,

Awesome! The 2nd swing sounded nice.

I have a friend that did phantasy camp with the Phillies. The games were at spring training in Florida, but they did a BP session and a walk around Citizens Bank Park before a game that summer.

This is also the same friend that played on the Flyers softball team. I'd say we should be jealous, but this is back when the games were at the Vet, so maybe not so much.

Like you, I'd gladly pay\donate to be able to hit on the field some more. At least a full bucket anyway.
That seems like an awesome experience. Did you go to the batting cages the day before to try and get comfortable with your swing?

When I first did this event 4 years ago I did hit the cage a couple days beforehand because at that time I hadn't swung at a baseball since 1997, lol. We didn't even find out this was happening this year until 3 days prior so I didn't really get a chance to go. A buddy went with me and he whiffed on the first 4 pitches and made weak contact with that last pitch. He's determined to have a better showing next time so I told him we'll make it a point to do some cage work over the next year.

I had also golfed that morning and was at least 6 beers deep, so maybe I'll skip that part next year too.

I have no idea which team to waste my money on. Sherzer and Buehler are tough to bet against, but I don't like the odds and really don't trust any of these teams. I have money on the Braves from preseason, but they aren't taking it down.

As an Astros fan, it just isn't going to happen. Sick lineup, but that pitching will not hold up in the playoffs.imo

I would really like to see Seattle get one of that last wildcard spot. They have probably made me more money this year than any other team because the line has never believed in them and still doesn't. Besides screw all of those east coast teams.

I can only bet white sox right now but like Milwaukee coming out of NL and really hope Dodgers have to play wildcard game and lose.

Baseball Reference @baseball_ref

Juan Soto last 16 games played:

29-for-54
19 walks, 1 HBP
4 doubles, 1 triple, 5 home runs

.537/.653/.926

The last player to hit .500/.650/.900 in a 16-game span, before Soto?
Spoiler:
Barry Bonds in 2004.

Soto’s ****ing 22

This is going to be fun to watch

Edit: trout finished at exactly .460 at 26

Suddenly the team with the worst bullpen in big league history is on their longest win streak since 1935.

Cards are insane. Reds must be shell-shocked with how fast their playoff equity evaporated.

So the suspended game due to weather between SD and ATL from July in Atlanta is now being played in SD starting from the 5th and is currently being suspended due to rain.

Tell us more about how lines are set. This sounds like free money. You must have made a fortune on the 2016 Rangers too.

Showing your ignorance bro. Everyone knows winning 65% of your one run games is sustainable

Lots of weird things about that game:

- The first game ever to start in the Eastern time zone and end in the Pacific TZ
- Several players on both teams who were on different teams when the game started vs. when it finished
- According to the announcer, all of the stats from the 2 innings played last night will go down in the official scoring records as having occurred 2 months ago, the day the game started. So, for instance, the HR that Tatis hit last night in the 7th inning will appear in the score book as having occurred on July 21, making it his 30th HR of the season. What was "actually" his 30th HR (whenever it was) now becomes his 31st of the season, etc.
