Just meant that pre 1995 the only time you could see players from the AL and NL play against each other was the all star game and WS so it was can't miss. I remember it was such a big deal that Nolan Ryan started the ASG on 3 days rest. Now the ASG is just meh.

I remember in the 80s there be like one or two inter league series. Usually like cross town rivals. Subway series in NY, freeway series in LA. Kind of wish they limited it to just a few games like back in those days.

Baseball reference and I guess MLB are integrating stats from other leagues to make it appear that pre integration players played against one another. Ted Williams is no longer the last player to bat .400 I guess, there are now like 13 more players that batted .400 even though they played 48 games in a parking lot.

No, just the Negro Leagues, which by all accounts at least up until last year had said they were the equivalent of AA baseball and that the Mexican Leagues were the best league aside from MLB. From all of the research that I've done, cards I've collected, books I've read I was under the assumption that the best players in those leagues would all play on the same team, and then they would barnstorm against teams of local guys thrown together to go up against these good teams.

Here is an article that discusses what the quality of those leagues were. How you pretend they played in MLB is beyond me. Sadaharu Oh wasn't allowed to play in MLB, so maybe they should count his HRs as MLB home runs.
