Sale came back after Tommy John and had like a 3.5 ERA over eight starts. Then his last two starts he's faced 22 batters and has gotten one out not by the strikeout. He's legit running a .875 BABIP while striking out 42% of his opponents these last two games. I'm not too concerned that we should be writing his obituary just yet

If the ump calls you safe at first even though you don't touch the bag, and are tagged after he's called you safe while you're passing the bag and rounding to right, are you out, or since you were called safe have a free pass after that point?

Been watching football all day and cleansing my palette with this TB/BOS game. Hope Boston pulls it out I had a weird dream the night before the playoffs started. I was in an airplane flying back and forth from Boston and San Francisco. As far as I know, I have no psychic abilities but if the world series turns out to be BOS/SF I will wonder?

Anyway all geared up ready for my White Sox do or die game. It would sting to end it so soon. I still have faith though!

So it was a guaranteed run until the Red Sox player hit it over the fence himself? What in the world? Should be treated as a ground rule double then an extra base as if the player threw the ball into the stands. Like it seems the most obvious logic but wtf

pretty sure it does.

pretty bizzare but makes just as much sense as not giving the umpires discretion on normal grounds rule doubles.

in the 2004 alcs game 4 or 5 in extra innings tony clark hit a ground rule double down the right field line in fenway that easily would have scored the run from first, who ended up having to go back to third where he was stranded.
