Lynn was totally not the right move in game 1

hes had a great season and its a great story, but that 92% fastball rate only looks brilliant against scrub outfits like KC midseason

This Astros lineup is awesome, but good pitching can shut anything down. Lynn was a weird choice.

Yordong such a great prospect steal, but this pitching won't hold up and this lineup can't carry the team against good pitching as we will see in the coming games when Lynn isn't in the game.

Professional Baseball is so dead.

My fandom definitely drops to almost nothing when my team isn't in it. It wasn't always that way. I used to live and die by baseball.

When the Royals lost Johnny Damon and all the fans finally realized we were just going to be an AAA club for the big market teams, and then we knew we couldn't get too attached to Carlos Beltran, that was a big blow.

We did have that miracle run in '14/'15 for which I'm eternally grateful. But we always knew we'd lose that core group of guys' in 2018. Dodgers fans never have to go through that with Bellinger and Kershaw, or Yankees fans with Judge and Jeter before that. It makes being a fan a lot more fun.

I went to George Brett's last game. It meant a lot to me. If MLB back then was was like it is now, we'd never have been able to keep George Brett. Probably not Frank White, Willie Wilson or Dan Quisenberry either.

I flew back to KC for Hosmer, Moose, Cain and Esky's last game. I'll probably fly back for Salvador Perez's last game. But after Perez, who's only stuck in KC because he signed a terrible contract, there will be no more last games bigger than say Alex Gordon. There's almost no chance another lifetime Royal has a chance at the Hall of Fame after Salvy.

I know Hosmer has sucked and Moose and Grienke were overpayed and all that. But I still would have been happy to keep rooting for Cain, Moose and Hosmer for a long time after 2017. And maybe if Hosmer stays with his BFF Moose and in a good situation, the magic doesn't disappear. Who knows. I would have stayed much more interested in baseball after 2017 if the Royals didn't have to break up their whole team and rebuild for at least 5 years.

I know the financials of baseball just don't make sense for a salary cap. But I'm just stating why the NFL is such a superior product imo. A team like the Chiefs can hit the draft lottery with Mahomes and know they aren't going to lose him after his rookie deal. That would suck so bad.

I do love working from home on days like tomorrow. Just turn on the TV and have baseball in the background all day long.

Starting Lynn, especially with his insane fastball usage and terrible splits vs Houston (and especially in Houston) is mind boggling. With the insane bullpen that ChW theoretically have, would've been way smarter to start with an opener/bullpen game in G1, especially coming off of full rest. Also, their lineup construction was super random (why was LuBob batting 5th?).

But we're also asking TLR to strategize in the modern day, so I'm not shocked.

In the other game, Tampa Bay looked fantastic yesterday, especially in the early innings.

More impressively, the young stars in the AL are really looking bright right now: Wander Franco, Randy Arrozarena, Luis Roberts, Yordan, etc.

Such an awesome time to be a baseball fan imo.

Let's go White Sox, we really need this one today!

These national broadcasts are absolutely horseshit. They know nothing about the White Sox or their players. They have done no research and I am guessing this is the first time they have seen them play this season.

MLB network went dark for a few minutes. Yesterday Fox sports kept cutting out. These are the playoffs! You would think MLB would get their **** together. I really miss my local broadcast/announcers. The "national" product MLB puts out sucks.

Of course it's a good game and there's no way for me to watch it. I even have the expanded sports package on Frontier FIOS - but they don't carry MLB Network. Which means I couldn't pay the $24.99 even if I wanted to.

Great product there guys.
