Mobile and athletic 6'11''. Will be the anchor of the defense. Held opponents to 52% at the rim, good for 9th best out of all centers in the league. Was 10th in the NBA in blocks per game (1.4) and TS% (66) so can dominate the rim on both ends.

Jalen Green
age 19,20,21

Decided to take a gamble that he's an outlier and is a productive player right from the start. Houston is going to let him run loose so the evidence will be out there. His offense just looks so smooth it's hard to see him not being a star right from the go. 6'6'' with top tier athleticism.

Curry and Green should add more offense than their defense will give up. Allen looks like he's a good PNR guy with solid screens and finishing around the rim. Bridges will cover their #1 and Allen protects the rim.

Ugh, couple of pretty similar guys here, can't really decide, but I'll go with Steven Adams (28). Think he's still a lot better than he showed this past season being a bad fit next to Zion. Doubt it's aging or anything at 28, but could be idk. Seems a good locker room guy too.

He was drafted with a pick they got in the Harden trade, so if you think like that compared to a Harden/Durant type it cant really be THAT long, but yea, been a while. He came in pretty young.

Miles Bridges

Lot of options left in the 3+D category still, but here are a couple stats/data points I like about taking Bridges.

Dunks - This might sound dumb, but I've thought for a while that total number of dunks can be a good indicator of who is really the most athletic SOB in a league of freaks. The dunk leaders tend to usually tilt towards overall good players too. Bridges had 82 dunks in 49 games, which puts him at 20th overall in the league from the stats I found. BUT the only guys ahead of him who are not centers are Zion, Ben Simmons, John Collins. So among wings, he's in the top tier of rim attackers that put pressure on the interior D.

Size - Dude is thick at 6'6'', 230. That's bulky enough to at least switch on to the big dudes without getting immediately run over

Shooting improvement - His 3P%/3PA has gone from .325/2.2, .33/4.6, .40/4.4, and his FT% from .75, .80, .86. He's not going to be an off the dribble creator, but it looks like he can profile as a good corner 3 spot up dude.

He went from starting every game in 2020, to coming off the bench when they signed Hayward, but his MPG stayed right around 30 and all his efficiency stats shot up. I see that as a guy who isn't good enough to be a top 3, but is a top quality #5 dude. Every spot except Dray has had a .40% 3 pointer season = spacing city.

I also like the fit with my lineup, giving me no one in the starting lineup shorter than 6'5, ability to switch, and a diving PnR or dunker spot option for the playmakers.

I value the ability to score, shoot 3's, pass, ball handle and defensive malleability.

I have the best defensive player in the league in Ben Simmons, who is an elite passer who could be a devastatingly good roll man.

Lonzo is capable ball handler, elite passer, knockdown shooter, borderline great defender.

Brooks can play ball, he does things that don't show up in the boxscore #eyetest

Grant is better on D than he is given credit for in this thread, his efficiency will go up when he is getting passes from Lonzo, Simmons, Lavine

Lavine had an all time efficient scoring season last year while averaging 5 assists a game , a good on-ball defender and has been UNIVERSALLY recognized for his overall improvement on D by anyone who actually watches the Bulls

I love your team but here is the answer to your Defense point you tried to make along with how my team will scrape yours on offense.

I can stick Lavine on Draymond, Simmons on KAT then rotate Lonzo, Brooks, Grant on SGA+Bogdan and they can all take turns getting a breather on Bridges.

When your team is on D, we will just hunt KAT+Bogdan every 1/2 court possession... you can't hide 2 terrible defensive players against a team with 3 ball handlers+passers and 4 shooters on the floor.

I don’t HATE your team, but there’s no way Simmons is guarding Embiid/Jokic/KAT/Vuc/Jonas/Sabonis etc. He might be the best perimeter defender in the league, but those guys have like 30 pounds on him. You think you can just run them off the floor- maybe?

Also, I think it’s hard to “hunt” bad defenders if you can’t get switches, and the number one way you get switches is PnR. I don’t see anyone on your team who is a dive threat on a PnR except Simmons, and there’s like a dozen articles the past two years about how he should do that, but just doesn’t. Grant and Brooks aren’t good enough shooters that their guy feels bad going under, which means no switch.

Finally, how much do you want to bet that Brooks will NOT average 25 points or have a .59TS this year? Doesn’t even have to be both, we can bet on each individually.

I would like DLs team if he took vooch over lonzo
