Despite the FREE MONEY this game obviously should not be played and any sane coach would call it off rather than risk the kids’ health but I mean, it’s Brian Kelly so not shocking.

Can you forfeit a game in the middle of it? Would I still get paid?

So both teams are without a kicker? It’s like a Sunbelt game!

That’s cool, I think I need Jenkins to get 50 yards tonight and points are great.

I mean I don't think anybody's health is at risk. As I said earlier, LSU has like 14 4 stars and a five star out there. Presumably they're on average bigger, stronger, faster, more athletic than the K State guys.

They're just getting killed b/c they are inexperienced, disorganized, poorly coached and don't have a QB or a coach or any motivation or half their team or...

Is “doomed” the word you’re looking for?

Honestly I’m impressed with how well LSU is playing so far. We’ll see how the fatigue goes.

The expanded playoff is the paradigm, the predetermined conclusion. All the yes-men are here to do is justify it.

I feel like something really meta must’ve just happened but I don’t know what it is.

A literal TO on defense vs 4th and 30 ffs! Followed by a 21 yard punt. You couldn’t make this up!

Has there ever been a less anticipated NCG? Maybe Miami-Nebraska from the 2001 season.

Definitely Bama fatigue etc. And I’m not just saying that because I’m an Auburn fan. I think plenty of people around college football are looking forward to Saban’s retirement

Cfb has sucked since 4 team playoff. Could be coincidence.

rematch between two sec teams where the first game was a 9-6 result that was brutally boring.

I thought of that but rejected it as a sort of anti-survivorship bias i.e. our memory is fixed on how the game played out instead of the pre-game hype. Les Miles can make anything interesting and there was a constant whine about Oklahoma St getting shafted so ESPN could have the brands it preferred.

whine is the opposite of hype though. If everybody is bitching about a game, that's the opposite of being excited to watch it

nobody wanted to watch that one b/c the first game was so brutal, it was a rematch, ok state got ****ing shafted, etc.

in this one, there's no whining or controversy b/c both teams earned their way there and nobody can say that anybody else deserves it.
