Hmm his bad throw % vs the Jets last year in week 1 was 8.6%, this year it was 8.9%. So he's getting worse!

Looks like they don't have game level data for OnTgt% (anything after week 1 just gets combined) but I presume he was on a similar level last year after week 1

That On Target stat can be a little deceiving. Taking a sack rather than throwing the ball towards a receiver will hurt that stat. I'd rather my QB threw it near a receiver then get sacked.

It hurts a QB that has a bad O-Line or has receivers that run terrible routes, or QBs named Josh.

I just think the result overshadowed the script, their first five series were punt/fumble/fumble/failed fake punt/fumble, and that doesn't account for the second failed fake in the second half. They couldn't have run worse to get to that point and all those turnovers are not predictive. They also have an extremely good offense.

Particularly after the injuries, they are a team with a top 5/7 Offense and a bottom 10 Defence

Pretty much exactly like the Falcons, hence the closeness of the result and the 80 odd points scored in the game

They will be fun to watch and if you’re a FF type of fan it’ll be possible to overrate them but they’re not getting to the SB

Yeah I was surprised too when the 49ers coach said they have to come back and play in the same stadium next week (when he was complaining about the turf and the injuries).
