This is a strange year for rankings. The chiefs are the only team I trust to win a big game. Then theres the group from lijec2-10 that would all be like -3.5 to them on a neutral field.

In no order the Seahawks, bills, ravens, packers, saints. Prob missing one or two. Titans and colts belong in this category. The rams losing the the jets is just mind boggling for them


Then a few behind in rams, dolphins, steelers (if they can get it together would be in the next tier), browns, Tampa bay (same as steelers). Just a jumbled mess after the chiefs but theres no clear cut number 2, or 3. Throw the cardinals in here.

At this point I think I'd take the chiefs over the field.

I've got a bit of a specialty in forecasting repeat champs. Going out on a limb. No repeat KC. It takes all pieces, on the field and in the organization, to pull that off, in my view. I'm not sure they have that. A sick good team versus a dynasty/mini-dynasty is kind of the splice here.

I'm taking Tennessee or Baltimore to eliminate the Chiefs. Will have to see the brackets for finalization. In fact I'm taking the Titans to win the AFC. Them as 6th pick in AFC right now has serious value. Gotta get in, of course, where they are a dangerous playoff team, we know, and can keep Mahomes off the field far more than most. Like the coach.
