Re: 2020 NFL off season

Brees is probably just donating MLM AdvoCare supplies he spent $10M on to get people hooked into the system. I'll believe he might be improving himself as a human being when he renounces every dollar he ever accepted from AdvoCare.

I notice AdvoCare supposedly stopped being an MLM pyramid scheme last year under government settlement. Did that actually happen or did they just reform their ways to keep their MLM shenanigans going in a less blatant way?

Palo man, you sound like a “wage-slave”. Clearly the entrepreneur mindset of being your own boss as an independent business owner is just #notforyou. Only winners like Brees understand the path to financial freedom that the Advocare system represents for those who WANT IT.

(Yes, my wife bought a box of that bullshit from her friend and made us sit through the pitch out of pity. And yes it’s been sitting in the closet for three years. Tried the energy drink mix once and instantly felt like I was going to have a heart attack)

That means it's working. You just need to build tolerance.

Re: 2020 NFL off season

No problemo

Although the 13 min video was pretty loltastic, it's not the Chiefs' fault that there is no real NFL plan. If you're not going to bubble you're going to fail.

Re: 2020 NFL off season

I see a possibility the NFL doesnt even get off the ground, sadly.

They have 4 times the personnel as mlb and look at them, they are screwed. Thinking about the chance winter simply becomes "covid season" (as I've heard I dont know the validity of it) makes me wonder about football. I know it's a depressing thought but Itll be difficult to keep everyone safe-at least for this year.

Re: 2020 NFL off season

If you think the NFL is screwed (which I think it is) and MLB is barely hanging on, and everyone involved is paid, then whats your take on NCAA football? More players, more teams, unpaid players, and college kids who have no fears of the corona. People are being so ignorant thinking that there will be a season. There is also college fans who are wanting to be in the stands for games. #idiots

Re: 2020 NFL off season

I don't see how NFL football gets going. If it does, I expect it to be rookies/second-tier players who see this as their opportunity to make their mark--the players who have their money will continue to opt out.

As for the NCAA, I saw an interview with Bob Costas the other day. He made the point that it's unconscionable of the NCAA to even consider a season. Professionals at least have made a (hopefully) informed choice to opt for the money vs potentially their health. College-level athletes have no such option.

Yeah NCAA football is completely screwed unless they're just like "oh well if you get COVID you can still play nbd"

Opt out seems GTO. You get 300k with a doctors note to chill on sidelines.

Cowboys 2005 coaching staff

6 future NFL head coaches plus a few college head coaches I think.

More proving (IMO) that they ****ed up by letting all of these coaches go and instead hired Jason F Garrett

Unless a student athlete (SA) has a condition that makes them vulnerable to covid I think colleges should be able to opt out of paying the SA thousands of dollars in tuition, rent and food if the SA opts out of their sport.
