Who tf puts a Hitler quote up on the social media platform?

Now if he is let go, it will prove his point even more I suppose that the Jews control everything and you can’t criticize them.

Terrible apology as well. Cringe.

He likes it in KC. He said he was glad he didn't get drafted to a big city.

We'll check back in 5 and 10 years and see if he's changed.

what do you expect him to say when he's basically forced to live there...that KC is a bland and backwards city in the middle of ****ing nowhere with hardly any interesting natural characteristics and populated by redneck religious fundamentalists who carry their guns everywhere?

He could say nothing. He didn't have to bend over backwards explaining how he's just a West Texas boy and doesn't want any of that stuff - backed up by posting pictures of he, the gf and their dogs on Saturday nights and never afaik being out at da club.

KC is a nice town btw. It might be a little boring and the weather sucks in the summer and winter. But the BBQ is the best in the world, it has stuff like a world class art gallery and jazz museum, and the people are for the most part pretty decent and reasonable. It's a good place to raise a family.

Your flyover stereotype is stupid.

He's bending over backwards to be the "good boy" that all those endorsement companies want him to be.

People say the same thing about Louisville, and they're wrong.

I've been to both Louisville and KC.

I agree with V. Vega on this one.

What do you think people say about Louisville that they are wrong about? suzz said a lot, but some of that stuff I've never heard said about Louisville.

One thing I think we can all agree on is that the Chefs have won their last Super Bowl.

Spoiler:
Suzzer rant incoming in 3.2.1....

How many Super Bowl wins will Mahomes have over the length of his 10 year contract?

O/U - 1

If forced, I'd take the under.

I think 1.5 is a more fair line

Still under ofc

I think the actual line is 1.5 on a few betting sites, seems pretty sound. It's really hard to win one

Chiefs have a 2 year window now before Mahomes gets really expensive. It'll be interesting to see if they hold onto Chris Jones in 2020 or attempt to trade him, which might lessen their chances this year but give them more cap flexibility and another high draft pick to re-plenish with

don't discount the effect that 62 year old 375lb fat Andy may have on that line in the days of covid.
don't get me wrong i love the guy, but he's squarely within the bull's eye of the target population.
Bieniemy may take over (i hope he doesn't because he should have already been an HC somewhere else and i hope he doesn't have to stay that long), but he's no fat Andy when it comes to calling an offense.

Mickey,

That it's a good place to raise a family. I'm saying that's a common phrase for these medium sized midwest towns and it's mostly said because they are cheap, in my opinion.

And how is Andy Reid's still alive? He'll probably live to be 85 all while being 150lbs over weight. Being rich helps too.

Reid's 62. His over/under is probably about 12 more years.

But seriously, KC is a really nice town, other than the weather half the year and yeah the general flatness of the midwest.

It's got plenty to do, best BBQ in the world. Pretty decent foodie scene now - given you can grow most things and raise any kind of meat in the surrounding area where land is cheap. People are generally decent and mild-mannered with those midwestern values where you look out for your neighbor. My posts about the chiefsplanet.com DC forum are not indicative of the general populace at all. Most of the chiefsplanet regular posters actively shun that subforum.

The whole reason for the "great place to raise a kid" stuff is kid's don't need all the flashy mountains and beaches to be happy. They just need a nice yard, plenty of other kids to play with, and some parks. I'd be terrified to send my kid to say Beverly Hills high with 16-year-old smack addicts driving Ferraris. That's no good.

Honestly I don’t want to get into a giant thing about KC because I’ve been to way worse places in the US to live and some of them have/used to have NFL teams but if the first line of selling a city is

‘It’s got plenty to do, the best BBQ in the world’ then imo...it doesn’t have plenty to do

Feel free to stack up other cities. Especially any city that doesn't have an ocean front that you think beats KC.

I'm being pretty candid about the weather. It sucks half the year. Makes you appreciate spring and fall more, but that doesn't make up for it. And the flatness, sure. When I moved to the west coast it was like a wonderland to me. I didn't see a real mountain until I was 16.

But BBQ is ****ing awesome. BBQ and Jazz are easily the top two American contributions to world culture. KC has both in spades. The food is amazing.

Also you can actually afford a house, with a yard, on a normal salary. A cool 100-year-old house with all kinds of trim, a big stone front porch, a basement, and a 3rd floor that you avoid in the summer. I fantasize about owing a house with a porch and a yard in LA. KC never seems to grow too much or shrink too much (like St. Louis which has lost 30% of it's popuation or something), so you never have big crises of no housing, or plummeting housing prices.

But for everything else, what are you asking for - Broadway shows? Yawn. San Francisco or New Orleans level culture? Sure it doesn't have that, but no one else in the US does. And AF is basically ruined now anyway. KC has everything Chicago has. But it's nicer in the winter and not so murdery. Also no annoying Cubs fans. I've lived in Houston. Now there is a waste land of strip malls and oppressive humidity.

So again - name some peers that you think blow KC out of the water.

The other subtext to all this is at age 51 I've realized most of the trappings of a big city don't really matter. What matters is having friends and family you enjoy spending time with.

I had a job for 7 years that was like family to me. I was content for the first time in my life. I didn't care where my career was going, whether I was living up to my true potential, how much money I was making, or what kinds of vacations I was going on. I had enough money to be comfortable and a family. It ended, like all good things do. But I'm still going to say that for most humans, if we can find that stuff, we don't need to live in the coolest place on earth.

Which brings us back to how all this started. There's no way Mahomes is faking it, at least for now before being almost a billionaire goes to his head. He likes it in KC.

If you've never lived in the Midwest maybe you wouldn't understand. There's much less bullshit than the West Coast (passive-aggressive, Hollywood no), East Coast (in your face because **** you that's why) or South (lying as an art form, but always with a gracious smile). Midwest people are farmer stock. You look out for your neighbor because the next tornado or flood might have your name on it, and you want your neighbor to look out for you.

we’re not talking about you though, we’re talking about a multi millionaire QB

I am excited to do my list of 1-32 liveable NFL cities. I’ll be amazed if KC is in the top half
