That one makes no sense to me. Jimmy G was better than Brady last year, and should continue to improve while Brady declines. He's also on a pretty reasonable deal ($26 million cap), so Brady likely would likely cost more as well as being worse.

Only way I see it making any sense is if they could trade Jimmy G for quite a bit and then add Brady. Otherwise it seems like it would be a huge overreaction to a bad second half of the Super Bowl.

let's assume he could have got a deal worth $30m per year over 5 years starting in 2019 season. So he'd make $150m by the end of the 2023 season.

Instead he settled for 2m. Just to break even on the above he needs to sign 4 years 148m this offseason or $37m per year.

Is he really gonna do that? and even if he does, that discounts to nothing the $ cost of the risk he took to getting injured/losing form.

Why is everyone assuming it's going to be the Bucs? What am I missing?

The Chargers need Brady more than the Bucs do. Brady and Gisele would much prefer the LA market over Tampa Bay. Brady can bring his own offense to LA whereas Arians offense doesn't fit Brady's strengths at all.

Keenan Allen is the best route runner in football and is a beast at the underneath routes which are Brady's bread and butter. Ekeler is one of the best receiving RBs in the NFL. The Bucs have great receivers but they are serious deep threats and I am not sure Brady can maximize their strengths.

To me the Chargers make way more sense than the Bucs but the betting lines completely disagree with me.

would much rather have 2 years of Brady over lolRivers for the Colts. Seems like Indy should be a more playoff-ready team than Tampa also.

Most pats fans I know are pissed at that Patriots but this was always how it was going to end. Brady is going to play until no team will have him and Belichick was never going to be the last coach to want him. Once it was known he wouldn't do a one year deal, it was over. Personally, I'm glad. I hope he does well next year but I fully expect him to be worse than average and I'd rather start seeing what we have in Stidham or whatever.

This seems wrong. Brady is spent and leaving BB isn't going to help. Rivers isn't a huge step up either but Indy's Oline is a solid step up for him. We have no one for him to throw to after TY but that line and Mack can do some work.

Drafting a QB was always my #1 but if BDB isn't sold on any of the guys available at 13, going with Rivers over Brady for 2 years seems obvious.

man, I guess. As much as I have hated Brady over the years, i REALLY ****ing hate Rivers. He's a shoe-in to get us to the playoffs and throw 4 INT's in a huge game. Agree though that any incremental improvement will be good behind that line.

The bucs have way more cap space. They can give Brady weapons. Only problem with Bucs is his schedule will be really tough. I think he should go to Dolphins tbh. Easier schedule, can sign Antonio Brown.

So is it just be or would it have been better to trade Cam before signing Bridgewater since now everyone knows you have no leverage at all.

Hoping someone out there does something stupid. Maybe the Bears or Bills think he's healthy and they are just a decent QB upgrade away.
